2nd Annual Shooting Stars Clay Classic
Make-A-Wish® Oklahoma is hosting the 2nd Annual Shooting Stars Clay Challenge on Friday, April 7 at Silverleaf Shotgun Sports in Guthrie, Oklahoma. The challenge is from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The clay challenge is a fun and relaxing day outdoors with good food, shooting clays, and exciting prizes. The tournament, open to both men and women, consists of teams of five shooters, targeting clays that simulate game birds and test each shooter’s skills and accuracy. All of the proceeds will stay in the state of Oklahoma to grant wishes for children suffering with life-threatening illnesses to bring them hope, strength and joy.
“We are looking forward to our 2nd Annual Shooting Stars Sporting Clays Challenge this year!” said Katie Massad, development officer. “Witnessing various individuals, corporations, and organizations within our community come together in order to aid us in granting wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses, right here in Oklahoma, is the highlight of the event.”
Make-A-Wish® Oklahoma is delighted to bring back the Shooting Stars Sporting Clay Challenge for a second year. This event raises money to grant the wishes of Oklahoma children with life-threatening medical conditions. There are currently 193 children waiting for their heartfelt wish to be granted. If you would like to participate in the challenge, register as a team of 5 shooters for $600 or as an individual shooter for $150. Your registration includes lunch, 12 stand course round, and prizes for the top participants/teams. Contact Katie Massad at 405-286-4000 or email@example.com by March 3rd to register for the event. Massad may also be contacted about sponsorship opportunities.
We couldn’t fulfill our mission without the support from our teams, sponsors, and committee members. The 2017 event committee includes John Dillingham, Tyler Finch, Dennis Krueger, Kendra Loper, Katie Massad, Bryan Pearson, and Devin Vassella, and is chaired by Carly McDavid.
